WELCOME TO ERIK MAYER DOT NET

My name is Erik Bryan Mayer. I was born in Los Angeles on June 17, 1969 and currently live in Los Angeles. I have lived in Los Angeles or Culver City all my life and intend to remain in the area. I have dedicated my life to public service. I work with severely emotionally disturbed children for a non-profit organization since May 23, 1994, am the Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 113 since August 1, 1993, I am the Advisor for Crew 8, "The Josepho Team" doing first aid and logistical support for the Boy Scouts and Topanga State Park and am active with Culver City CERT since November 1997. My volunteer work is like a second job. It is hard work sometimes, but I enjoy it. I have also worked as a Phone Operator for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and as a Community Service Officer (CSO) for the UCLA Police Department. I do not make a lot of money, but my service to the community has brought me much more.

I am also an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-1) since 1992 and am a Red Cross First Aid / CPR Instructor. I am also an Amateur Radio Operator (HAM).

As you can see, I have a lot of varied interest related to service to others. I have no desire to work in the business world.
